  • Lol'd!

  • I'd build the wheels with these hubs, custom made jobbies.

  • And I wouldn't get that turbo.
Black or Dark grey suede will look better.

  • Cinelli volare slx ftw

Where and how much?! shakes Tenderloin by the lapels Come on man, this is matter of life and death!

Actually I just want some, no ones goona die... yet.

  • Dullā

Scorch bought some. I will be looking to get some laced to archetypes at some point..

  • Nice, cheers.

    Sorry for slight thread derailment!

  • ^^ Apparently not, emailed them and they have sold out and aren't making any more for a while.

  • Mack.

  • They is also up there on wish list.

  • OK fellas.

No actual purchases yet but some deals close to finalisation:

    Campagnolo super record seatpost.
    Pista cranks and BB.
silver mavic stem to accompany mavic bullhorns above (this combo may be swapped out for cinelli depending on comfort)

cinelli volare (thanks RikVL) has indeed been the chosen saddle. needs to be sourced!

Wheels are becoming a bit of a sticking point right now.. although i did say this would be a slow burning project however subsequencly it has taken over my life and performance at work has been duly noted as poor to shit!

proving hard to find 28h front 32h rear combination of pista record hubs.

Do i buy another wheelset from here that will do the job i.e. Let me ride the beast until i find the permutation of parts i need for the 'ideal' wheelset? or
just wait until i have the right combo? or
re think the rims and get a matching hubset?

OR as there is talk of modern hubs, go that route and keep the rims i have?
if so then my preferences would be:
    Royce
    new low flange record pistas
low flange Phils perhaps? (but i think i'll do them for a diff wheelset)
Mack would be on the list
    and more...

    decisions decisions...

  • I'd go for a modern ano hub with the rims. The choice of hole combinations will be easier if you went down the Mack/Dulla route. Plus they look rad i.e B'jammins Burls wheelset...

  • I know the feeling, along with the wheels I actually ride I'm sitting on twin heds, an NJS wheelset and a Super Record hi flange wheelset some of which need to go..

Offer him £110-120 it's practically free!

Are you going to get rid of the heds? Dibs?

Subbed to this thread anyway, this bike is going to be porn.

  • I would have to agree on the MACK hubs, they might not be quite period, but they are gorgeous-

    or low flange -

    Royce or Mack

Those macks is fit, and my vote is low flange whatever you go for. Low flange is in for fall/winter 2012

  • macks on black omega v. lush.

  • DAMMN.. just lost out on a nice Volare slx saddle on the bay.

    back to the search!

  • wheels - what about double hed 3's haters gona hate and all that

  • Just throwing it out there ;)

That would be my list if that frame was mine.

  • Hah! Surfed velospace and found this. Get some ideas maybe?

  • ^My dear god, that bikes something special.
C Record pista hubs or the modern ones if you have to... nothing else would suit. Nothing.
All those other modern hubs look like BMX hubs, which are gross (on a track bike).

  • Hah! Surfed porn thread and found this. Get some ideas maybe?

    ...

  • I'll keep an eye on this build, I had this on my ebay watched list but my back wouldn't have been up to it!
It will build up into a real special bike, I already had thoughts of a full SR period correct build for it !!
Got to love the SBDU bikes .....

  • Recieved these yesterday. need a bit of a polish and then willget them pictured properly.

Wheels are still proving difficult. and have lost out on a couple of saddles i've been after.

    little by little!
