  • Wow, I had forgotten what a fine figure of a man you are.

Are you bringing any C...lown... stickers with you, this time?

    Ha! I haz none...

  • Ha! I haz none...

That should save us some interesting conversations with the Police Service.

  • I would love to take Mental Red out but I wouldn't be able to make it to Norwood on time before the start. As everybody knows, you can't keep a lady waiting. Hats, you should definitely go for it.

    Oh go on then.

I don't think I can come for the whole day though as I need to go home and get some sleep in the afternoon.

  • Given the sad events of last night, there will be a minutes silence at the Olympic Park, if we can get that close.

This will not cloud the fun reason for the ride, or be cause for long faces as we travel, but will show our sympathies to the friends and family of the fallen rider.

Rest in peace, young man, and smile on us from heaven, as we ride around London, with you very much in our minds.

  • another bump!

Spoke cards collected, and they look superb.

I will be selling them for £3 each, with all profits going to a charitable cause of Velocio's choice.

PM me if there are any issues, or you need a mobile contact number, if you are joining us on the way, as I will be off line this afternoon with work issues, and am unlikely to be on line tomorrow morning, before we head off.

  • I currently only have a red nose, I needs moar clown!

  • I'm going to a fancy dress shop at lunchtime today (any excuse...).

I can vouch for the awesomeness of the spoke cards :)

Thanks missy. And if you could get some face paints, that would be tip top.

Bothwell, are you coming along to practice your art skilzs?

  • Face paints duly puchased. Fighting the urge to try them out in the office this afternoon...

  • If I'm not dead from the morning's Box Hill reps, then yes.

  • sorted bow tie, nose and makeup :) see you tomorrow 12 noon @ Pret a Manger, 18 Hanover Street, W1S 1YN, right?

    You bettcha.

Triathlon Olympics should not be an issue, as race starts at 9, and sub 2 hours is to be expected for the olympic distance for that standard.

  • excited!

  • I'm leaving now

  • Thanks folks for coming out and making this such a pleasant ride.

Whittle, your enthusiasm was much appreciated, and it was only a shame you had to leave early.

Hats and Betty; for being such exquistie company during the ride, and adding to the sunshine.

Apollolx; make up care of Kiss on crystal meth, and a good egg as always.

Shinkuu K; great work in being the shepherd to the flock and keeping everyone together.

S1mon; great to see you out on a forum ride, and I hope you can make the autumn series that was being discussed.

and Joe G, lovely to have you back in our community with the most rad of lo pros, sans brakes.

    LOL !!!

    also ^ I'm in a happy place

  • ah! I wish I knew about this event sooner! It should have it's own Clown's day lo pro rides thread.
Is this event annual or more regular?

    Cheers!

  • ...ah yes - 1-7 August was designated as Clowns Week.

  • Good day riding round with a small group of quality clowns. Enjoyed skidding down Oxford Street with whittle, riding round and round and round that roundabout off Park Lane, Leicester Square slow motion TT, not being allowed in Canary Wharf, really friendly cafe guy and of course Guinness at the end.

Congratulations to Joe, winner of gold medal for raddest lo pro that didn't belong to me:

    some other pictures:

  • Sorry for the no show fellas, I went to herne hill jumble and ended up staying for a track cycling induction!
