What's WB mean in Heptathlon? Is it the best ever leg of that particular event as opposed to the individual event?

WB means the best time for that event within a multi event like heptathlon.

Ennis broke the heptathlon best time for hurdles but she also broke the overall British record for 110m women’s hurdles. In fact her time would have been good enough for the hurdles gold at the previous Olympics.

Unfortunately most of the women’s track world records (and the top 4 or 5 times) were set by Eastern Bloc USSR countries in the 80s and have been untouchable ever since.

Silver in the judo. Still wonderful stuff.
