  • The fact that someone is and never was worth £35m to a team trying to get in the CL has nothing whatsoever to do with whether he is a good loan at £2m for a team trying to re-establish themselves in the PL.

    If £2m is the fee for the loan, what percentage of the wages do West Ham pay (0%, 50%, 100%)? Makes a big difference. Is the £17m transfer fee after 1 year if West Ham stay up an option or set in stone?

    Prediction - no deal - Carroll does not want to go anywhere but home.

    Indeed, and given his 'refuelling habits' London probably ain't the ideal place.
