I loved the brown as the decals pop out nicely.
beward of the bottom bracket as they're pretty prone to breaking, of which the shop should replaced it with a new one from next to nothing.
46/15 will feel spinny if you're used to cranking it, but once you get used to a higher spin, it'll feel normal (better to spin than to grind).

Ouch, cheers for the warning! Maybe I should try and get that and the chainset/cranks upgraded before the other bits I wanted to change then.
Is that a noticeably catastrophic event when it goes or does it just seize/grind/erupt into holy flame? I really should learn about the insidey bits of these things properly...

Mainly the Fuji track we tend to get end up having it's BB replaced after a couple of weeks, but that's about it.
Just keep riding it and get the hang of it.

That looks really nice! A much nicer paintjob than the 2011 I think. Hope you have a lot of fun on it.

Similar story here stabbington, bought the 2012 Fuji track a few months ago as my first single speed & road bike, had Evans fit a freewheel on it when I bought it aswell. Loving it so far!
Haven't got round to trying to ride clipless/clips or fixed yet, I'm either lazy or too afraid of falling off! -

good to see you bit the bullet! think you've inspired me to go get mine on monday, especially as I can chuck my tired Marin MB in for £50 off at evans. Think i'll go for the 16 on a freewheel as well. if you've got any more advice it would be appreciated!

My advice would be to sack the freewheel idea, try it fixed! it really isn't hard at all and it feels so much better!

This.
Freewheel is hard work compare to a fixed wheel.

Hi there first time poster, I promise you I have UTFS and trawled google but what bb is a good replacement for the current fuji classic track model? I have one on order and wanted to have one on standby for when the stock gives up the ghost.
Any recommendations would be wicked thanks.

its ok my friend, you asked inside the fuji track thread and didn't start a whole new one...
-
• #2364
Phewww... I didnt wanna be one of those kind of noobs. Thanks for that Mark.
-

Hopefully someone remembers the axle length?
Once you have that you can order a Shimano UN54 in british threading as a replacement. Chain Reaction sell them. You'll need a shimano bb tool to fit it but that'll cost you less than a shop fit.

Thanks very much for that miro it looks like chain reaction have sold out/ discontinued the un54. Is there a similar version to that?
Also another question to the thread does anyone have seat tube diameter?
-
• #2367
What do you mean? there's plenty of website that sell the UN54, that bottom bracket have been around for ages.
-
• #2368
UN55's now Ed:

Hey all, sorry to bump an old post but thought it better than starting a new one.
Does anyone know what seatpost clamp size the new fuji classic track takes? And also what the diameter of the top tube would be? I can't seem to find the info anywhere and It doesn't look like there is a standard size anywhere.
I would love it if someone could help or prove me wrong?
Sam

I had the diameter of the top tube somewhere, but I can't seem to find it now.
-
• #2372
1" no?
-
• #2373
Is that for both the top tube and seat tube?
-
• #2374
The tubing is 1", so the tt diameter is 1".
They take 27.2mm seatposts. I don't know what seatclamp though.
-

Ah cheers for that miro, so by that Im assuming the seta tube uses different diameter tubing as it can hold a 27.2mm seat post?
I test rode with the 46/15 fixed and it was surprisingly stiff. It *was *the first time I've ever ridden a fixed as well, so maybe that threw me a little...
The shop fitted a 16 on the freewheel side for nowt and that feels just about perfect, maybe a little spinny when I get to higher speeds, which I guess will get more noticeable as I get a bit fitter.
Anyways, here it be;
And that's right - sparkly ass metallic brown, yo.
Thanks again to everybody for all the help, it's really appreciated and I'm brimming with glee every time I've ridden it so far. Now I just need to learn how to take it all to pieces and find shiny new things to fit...
