  • wtf, I looked at that before but was literally too distracted by the scary clown face to realise it was on MY body... I predict nightmares of turning into a horrifying clown some night soon.

  • another bump!

  • Had almost forgotten about this until shinkuu-kiss reminded me of it just now, any other "funny bike" riders going to be around to join us, I'm sure there are more than 8 lo-pros in London's Famous London!!

  • someone make a Facebook group

  • I'm not on facebook, maybe I can just start accosting any lo pro riders I happen see around.

  • Good idea, if enough of us do it we should find them all!

Sorry for being so slow at getting the ride itinery out there.

It will be based on the original lo-pro ride, and I hope there are no copyright infringment lawyers within ear shot of my blatant plagarism.

Folks, apologies for lack of communicaton on this, but just back from holiday, and a bundle of house dramas.

I am willing to pull this together, but 11 is a very low number to start a ride with. We normally get about 30% no shows, which is fine, as this is a social, friendly gathering, and not a compulsory attendance, or written warning event, but I do not want to find it falling apart on Friday afternoon, having invested a bit of time in the organisation.

Personally, i think we need at least 20 to make the ride viable. There are so many lo-pros about on the streets of London, and endless pictures on the forum, i cannot believe we are so short of numbers. If you know someone who has a lo-pro, try bending their ear to giving it an airing, as the first ride had excellent write ups.

If we can get sufficient numbers my suggestion, would be start close to Oxford Circus, say at the cafe Nero by Hanover Square/Apple store, roll to Cambridge Circus, some other themed locations around central london, maybe Barclays headquarters in Canary Warf (ouch), and finish with a pootle over to Stratford, ensuring neither large nor small wheels fall into the Olympic Lanes.

This last element is not a provocative taunt (my views on CM's attempts to disrupt the opening ceremony are far from printable) but it seems too good a chance to resist.

Perhaps meet at 12 noon, with about an hour around central London, before heading east?

  • I am neither low, nor pro, but I would like to come.

  • Make sure the tyre pressure for the front wheel is 10psi below that of the rear, and insist vocally that yours is a lo pro. Can you add yourself to the list?

  • Actually scratch that, I forgot my boss swung some tickets to the rowing. Have fun chaps.

  • Note that this coincides with the Olympic women's triathlon. I'd advise staying well away from Hyde Park, as tourists might not be able to tell one lot of clowns on funny bikes from the other.
