  • My next frame is going to be like the Porsche Pig, with all the cuts of meat drawn on it.

  • Cheers NH.

  • You've just helped me ruin another pair of pants.

  • I went in front of the hazard tape and touched it :)

  • The "what car should Dammit's parents get?" challenge:

My mothers requirements: Good guarantee, reliable, easy to drive and to get in and out of, economical hatchback. Dad is in favour of another Punto, but we think they have inflated recently. Probably petrol rather than deisel or electric. That is a start.
    Mum

  • Old folk drive Hondas.

    Challenge over.

  • A Swift? like a modern jap punto

  • My father has wanted a Legacy for ages, but I don't think it'll fit in their garage.

  • Legacys are not economical in any shape or form. Turbo or non-turbo. I batted around in my uncle's twin turbo estate for a bit and a posh friend has a variety of NA Legacys and Forries and they are all atrocious with fuel.

    Honda Jazz. Epic car.

  • Old folk drive Hondas.

    Challenge over.

I feel bad saying it as a red blooded car loving male but The Honda Jazz should be a prime candidate. My gran has got an '03 that she's had from nearly new. It doesn't set the world on fire but it's really well built and not a bit of bother.

  • ^^ Great Minds

  • Lol. Snap. Tiles has it bang on.

  • What about a Honda NSX?

  • I will recommend the Honda Jazz, see what reaction that gets.

Now- this is the same engine as my car has running open downpipe. I want my car to sound like this:

Haha - they are awesome but make Oliver Reed look like a teetotaler....
Boxer engines not known for their fuel efficiency + couple that with 4wd losses....

Having said that I absolutely love my Spec B and its 3ltr flat six, so I put up with the fact I get about 22mpg average.

  • Alfa Romeo Mito? (should that be capitalised)

How about that Nissan square thing, that looks good as roomy easy to get and out of and lots of interior space.

    Try an RX8.

  • RX8's use oil like a Belgian uses mayo on his chips right?

good call on the Nissan Cube - have a real soft spot for them :)

They're still better than the RX7...

Cubes are awesome, my aunt has one.

  • Hmmmm. Strokes chin and thinks about RX8's

  • Classics on the Common last night in Harpenden, well worth the train ride out of London for a good couple of hours perving (and a bacon bap)
