After measuring my forks again to check the clearance (45mm) I went for the Continental TourRide City Road Tyre in 42c. Continental have always been reliable for me in the past. It seems that above 45c is the point at which manufacturers start talking about 29ers or confusingly using 28 x 2.0 etc.
