As expected, riding track drops in the city is... uncomfortable!
The bike looks and rides stunningly though. Very happy! Pics in a bit...

Looks so much better without the spok. Seriously, bravo. One of my forum favourites I think.

Yeah, looking very nice built up like that, way better than the spok. Would be interesting to see it with gumwalls as well I think.

+1
Looks seriously classy now, nice work.I don't mind riding track drops short distances around town but it's hardly ideal and sucks if you to ride on top or use a brake. I don't think you should change them tho, fuck practicality.

I think these rims are a little too modern-looking to work with gumwalls. However, when I build the NJS tubs up, it'll be gumwalls all the way most likely. Hold on a few months! ;)

Ughhhhhh so fucking good.

Just realised the front valve doesn't line up with the tyre logo. I put it on straight so wheeling the bike with a flat to my LBS this morning must have shifted it. Fuck! I'll fix that on Tuesday.

Did one of my favourite short rides today (previously posted in this thread actually) with a Japanese friend. There's a steep, long hill (which you ascend then descend) and he turned up brakeless. Brilliant!
HHSBrothers (shame I don't have my Spok any more!)...

Today proved to me that it's entirely too hot in summer here to do (and enjoy) distance rides, so she'll be relegated mostly to short town hops. Thus:
Nitto B201AA chopped to 44cm with keirin grips (can't remember which brand - they've been in my closet since forever). Sometime I'm gonna buy another set of grips and cut them so they join which the others to give full coverage of the bars - I don't like the little bit of visible black (couldn't find silver bars anywhere here).
Bullhorns are in the closet until September/October...

Chopped up a second set of grips with reasonable success. I wish I could just get longer ones, though - the ones I've found are all 175mm but I need something around 210mm for full coverage. How long are Champs?
Pics of the full bike with risers against my favourite wall a little later.

nice. welcome to my douchebag club!
Like a complete dickhead I rushed when switching out tyres and popped a tube (god DAMN that was loud!). I have a spare tube but no functioning pump or spare CO2, which I think means waiting 'til tomorrow to take her for a ride.
クソ!
