Tour de France 2012

Kelly was riding for PDM in 1989, who had realistic GC ambitions in Rooks (2nd in 1988), and the eventual KoM in Theunisse. He wound up winning the points & intermediate sprints jersey (red, now discontinued), and was holding the Combine jersey (also now discontinued) until PDM decided that it was better to let Rooks have it. He had little team help, apart from Martin Earley.

Kelly also finished 9th on GC, which was the 4th best of the PDM team.
