+1. Having attempted 100miles (running) I know that it's almost as tough on the support crew as the competitor. GO HIPPY!

  • @firsthippy 22 hours 720ks. On course to smash club record*

  • the final figure?

    It'll be something like this:

  • do we have any news of mister 24h?

  • Hmmm, how's our big man? Did he manage that sexual harassment he threatened?

  • It will probably be at least a day before even a provisional result is declared, but winning ride seems to be Ultan Coyle at 496mi, so Hippy should be well up in the results.

  • Hopefully Hippy hasn't been DQ'd for eating a commissaire at the finish.

  • provisional silver medal for the big man - fucking awesome effort by him and of course scherrit and the support team

  • From cycling weekly

The longest event on the time trial calendar, the National 24-hour Championship, was won by Ultan Coyle (Rapha Condor CC) who covered a provisional 488.99 miles for victory in the Mersey Roads CC promotion in Cheshire.
Coyle, who added 22 miles to his distance in last year's Mersey Roads event when he finished second, took the title ahead of Stuart Birnie (Willesden CC), 480.72
