Hah, I saw your wheels yesterday. Very nice! Then they all persuaded me to run tubs. Oh well.
I have 125s on a Jag now and it seems about right - the drops bottom out at about the top of the wheel, but then the frame is only a 53. I wouldn't want to go lower but if your arms are long you might be able to get away with the 123s. They seem DEEEEP though!
Hahaha nice. The 123s feel ok at the track but I'm thinking a shorter stem and 125s may be really comfy.
Those are hella deep. Your drop is going to be mad - are you going to be riding on a track? Fuck that ^ for street riding, no matter how sexy it looks.
Track only
I believe this build is only for the track.
Correct

The 125s are definitely still reasonably deep so I think you'll still be able to get a good aero position going, especially since the Jag already has drop. I held them up against the 123s in the shop and although it wasn't exactly scientific, there didn't seem to be an ENORMOUS difference.

where'd you get the tyres? -

i think those nitto drops will be pretty uncomfy to ride with only benotto tape on them

Real fked up photo, due that everybody in this house took a camera with them so only my phone remained.
A picture of my concorde as put a Veloce 8 spd group on it. Front merch was broken so a real low end shimano does the job untill I find an other campagnolo one. Some of you might not like the wheels for this build. But I wanted a bit more modern wheels on it and got these for free at my work. They're Mavic Ksyrium Equipe.
We also took a 9 spd cassette and removed one cog. Then fitted it on the wheels with 8spd spacers. So now it's almost finished. Only things that are missing are a Flite, new Seatpost and an other front merch.
Thing I might change is the headset (105 for a campagnolo one).
And better photo will come quickly! -
• #64385
I'll likely get 125s with champ grips and put the celo tape on the 123s. Multiple bar setups never hurt anyone haha.
-
• #64386
I think the wheels themselves are fine, but the logos clash a bit too much. Maybe best to de-sticker them.
How is the shifting?
-
• #64387
Shifting is great. A 8 spd cassette came with the group as I bought it. Only took the spacers. So it shifts really good.
I actually quite like the wheels like this, so I'll keep them haha.

few extras on my daily commuter. Gipiemme concept 124 carbon saddle (which after a weeks riding is extremely comfy for short rides), planet x cnc front brake. Need some open tubular (not sure which yet) for fast sunny day rides. Nevertheless with the tractor tyres it still just under 9kg. (wait for comments 'why have you put light parts on a heavy bike?' etc) COS ITS FUN oh and she rides better the more she matures ;)

Are you close to London?
I hear there is a large flash mob event sometime around the 27th.

Upgraded my Jan Janssen (Vitus) to Campa 10 speed for my little sister. 8 speed gruppo and shamals are on their way to a new steel frame :)
Made this little overview of its guises over the years.

The lovely Digger fitted my new cranks today as I seem to have a skill of fucking up extraction threads when taking old cranks off.
I'll get some better slave style pics when the Jet Stream finally heads north over the weekend/next week/never.
Paint it black and put batman logos on it.
