I've been waiting for these to become available for ages: http://revolights.com

Goodlegs, I heard about Revolights a year a go. Still waiting on production. They say sometime his year but with a near $200 price tag, I'm not sure I'll go for it. What a great product though!

Reflective tape!

I bought one of these, though I don't really use it. They're not brilliant, but they are cheap: http://www.proviz.co.uk/hi-visibility-arm-ankle-bands

the light diffusers for exposure lights (like the joystick, flash and flare) makes them much more visible from the side

Buy EL Wire from eBay, thread it through the spokes and sellotape it down, tape the battery pack inside the spokes.
voila, Tron bike for under £10

I've got a magicshine rear light under the seat*, angled slightly down to illuminate the entire rear wheel, mech and frame. Brilliant rear and side visibility in one go.

on one of the rolling to the stones rides somebody had some scotchlite 3m reflective tape all over their rear triangle
the photo's of the bike during the night time really showed how effective it isi'll try and dig out said photo

Sold out apparently. Shame.
bugger, I fancied another for my front wheel!

I bought some cheap Tyre Flys from eBay. They're pretty awful. I'd have to pedal like a mad man over a very bumpy road for the lights to remain on. On the bright side, it was very cheap.
Might get some 3M spoke reflectors like the ones Lidl sometimes do. I have a big fear of having my bike piranha'd so I'd like accessories to be either removable or unworthy of being stolen.

I sent a email off to them. Back in stock on Monday apparently. :-)

Since they're sold out I don't see a price. Anyone tell me how much?

I use these things in winter:
HOTER Bike LED Flash Light Wheel Valve Cap Bicycle Lamp: Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors
They're alright. I mean they're not amazing but they're alright. Cost pennies and do seem to increase your noticeability.

Damn Yanks not bothering to read the full thread...
ledus wheelus, belarussian guy i think... programmable LED set runs off a triple a battery. Very waterproof, lights up your wheel very nicely for about 25 quid.

Thanks! Exactly what I was talking about! Lidl occasionally have them but I don't live anywhere near one.

Lidl spoke reflectors:

Aye Spindrift, they seem like they work very well! I've always been an advocate of lights>reflectors but it becomes a hassle attaching and re-attaching 10 lights to my bike 6 times a day. :P

Saw this the other day, not quite as cheap as reflectors but could be good for visibility/budget-tron-cycle shenanigans

"Join the revolution in side-visibility design" I see what you did there cateye
Stupid iPhone, it's supposed to say 'effective'.
What do you guys and gals suggest for increasing nighttime visibility from the side?
Spokelit, valve cap lights or something else highly gadgety and bright?
