  • Those descents are a definite factor in what makes this route as awesome as it is.

  • out.

my missus has been offered a secret garden party ticket and it's a throw up between her doing that or me doing this.
being the exceptional gentlemen that i am i've told her to go leaving me at home with bubs, in itself a very good thing.

so no one loses but i will be extremely gutted to miss this.
i'm already pretty miffed as i was super stoked.

    anyways.

    good dad points please.

    have fun out there.

  • Boo!

  • Gutted I can;t make this. Have lots of fun this weekend though!

  • I'm planning to be in Devizes on Sunday, and can't think of a nicer way to get there.
I'll come to Bath for breakfast, and probably follow the canal back again. Riding out as well would probably be pushing it!

  • Unfortunately out, cycling round France instead.

  • Unfortunately out, cycling round France instead.

Wouldn't it be better to cycle through France instead?

  • so the weather reports are looking perky for the weekend. Should be a nice warm run out and a lovely day Sunday.

  • fistpump

  • Did we get towels at the spa last time? I can't remember. Also, can I groupsave with someone pretty please? I'll stay for the Tour finale (natch) and a couple of beers after but I'll need an earlyish night Sunday...

  • Anyone else up for leading the ride out to the station? Sam will take it from there.

Happy to do this if there are people that would find it helpful. Left to my own devices I'd be coming from N4 - closest I'd get to central would probably be Ladbroke Groveish - but can deviate if it's useful to anyone...

  • Just changed my rear cog so I'll be running 48-19 with 165mm cranks (66.4 GI)
    spinning nice and easy.
Probs will stick my Brooks on as well.

  • too low, you need >80GI for swains, it is after all fairly flat.

  • oops, wrong thread fail, ignore the above.

I will be 65gi for this, I'm off to be a twat elsewhere for now.

  • hahahaha! Jesus I don't ride >80 on a normal day letalone long ride :')
