handling is very nice, its very neutral, you almost forget its there if that makes sense, nothing harsh, uncomfortable or tiring about it… i did spend a lot on the wheels, dt swiss hubs and rims with some super expensive sapim spokes, sram reds just the shifters, rest is apex and a rival compact crank, got a long cage rear but am just using the short cage with a 28 cassette, have a tiagra 30 to try out and reckon it should work without putting the long cage one on.
(no rack or panniers, use a carradice saddle bag)
