aww, don''t ruin those rims with a brake, get yourself some ceramics :(
-
• #182
watcha talkin bout, these are modern produced h+son archetypes with machined braking surface, and as far as i am concerned, these are exactly the "ceramics"
???
-
• #183
ceramic braking surface is very different to a machined aluminium braking surface, increased longevity and better braking
-
• #184
Never mind all that ceramic business, just take the brake off, fit some risers and you're done. :)

Hah! Risers, or Diazepam, we takes our choices! Both feel right though.
@Tilover - Do you mean Ceramic Pads, Tom?
Hey, cheers for the comments guys :) Im really happy with it, and apart from a few position tweaks, some Enve forks and THE Saddle, this is perfect for me.
Nice. Makes me wanna get images of my bike up....
Yes, please MG!!

somehow i feel these rims would look top class with some tan wall tires
you got some to try? (moots seatpost ta-da style? =)) -
• #194
Your not the first person to mention it, and I am intrigued. I have some old veloflex masters which I can try out. Was looking at the "ruffy tuffy" rivendells for an upcoming ride, but not sure how good they are, or if I can afford new tyres before hand. If gumwalls look good, i might be more inclined though, hmmmm...

try it
-
• #196
Put the Enve back on, I think the contrast works better - and it adds radness!
-
• #197
Yeah I agree..if you put the Moots post in there, match it up with Moots forks :-)
-
• #198
nooo ignore them looks sick to the power of rad

This turned up after a long trip from Italy, could be a perfect match (or too match-ey) for the wheels.
Sorry for the note here...'nursuried' new user here & can't reply/PM in the Classifeds apparently.
Saw the saddle listed here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread87937.html
If indeed it is for sale and available, please contact me at (yes, really)
dookie at dooksucks dot com.Thanks...and a gorgeous ride in this thread for sure! (I'm hoping to have it for my geared Moots from the same mid-90s timeframe).

Hey dookie! sorry, I can't help you there. All that stuff went to ebay and that Pluma sold this morning. Shame, would've liked it to go to someone here and sounds like you had a good home for it as well.
Don't know if this one is still available
http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=187431Good luck and post some pics of your Moots
Finally, got the wheels built and rolling very nicely.
