Sad news about the C&H, our dear Steve and James have had to sell out the pub. So last night was the last Souths with Steve behind the bar. It was particularly sad as we were a tiny committee so we all sat at the bar. Steve said that he will come for a drink soon.

The pub will continue but... Thank you Steve and James for welcoming us in your pub and so many of our parties.

shit, that's terrible news, I've always enjoyed going to C&H, sad that the guys who welcomed the forum so freely into their pub won't be running it any more.

Just got the full story, which I wont go into on here, as Steve asked me not to. However
their last week day is this Friday - so we're trying to get everyone down there Friday night to say goodbye and thanks for all the good times. Spread the word!
No doubt we'll sort out a card at some point as well.

The saddest thing for me is that Steve was like "Guys, nothing will change, the pub will still be here, and the bar staff are staying.." I just told him "Yes, Steve, but YOU won't be! We come here to see you too!"

That pub has done so much for us over the years! Going to miss Steve & James, it won't be the same.

So, who is in for a farewell party Friday night? Steve will be there, hopefully get James down. Show them they will be missed! Send the word out, particularly to people who don't really do the forum any more for whatever reason. Team Souths... ASSEMBLE!
