It's an amazing improvement in his TT ability it seems (although to be honest I can't remember any of his previous efforts so I presume it was mid table obscurity).

I'm sorry, but that is not a relevant result. They need to publish their biological data in detail and soon because these results aren't credible right now. If Froome was from eastern Europe we would be laughing our heads off.

I wasn't suggesting Froome was cheating in any way, by the way. It just seemed a very good TT for someone I didn't associate with that discipline.

I guess with Team Sky and their millions behind you and with Dave B at the helm the riders are going to make some phenomenal leaps - and do it clean - if they are as committed as they appear to be.

I guess contra to the doping arguement is Cav. If the team were doing bad stuff (and I like to think the team has sufficiently robust processes in place to spot any wrong doings) Cav would be romping home as well. Instead what we've seen is him focus on a specific race - the Olympics- which puts him at a disadvantage for the TdF (in terms of winning). I presume Sky have been getting CF to conentrate on his TT - or perhaps given it's a stage rate he's been able to maintain his ususal form whereas everyone else has dipped.

He does look like a skellington though.

Besides, I think Nibali did quite well today given that he is by no means a time trial specialist. Oh, and of course he hasn't read Team Sky's revolutionary bike training guide yet.

it is a relevant result as it shows he is a capable TT'er.

i wholly agree that they should publish all biological data and quickly.

however until then it has to be credible otherwise any result in any sport is not credible unless data has been released on whether or not they might or might not have doped.

If Sky release their biological data what's to stop someone unscrupulous from cloning them and growing them in a petri dish? And where would that all end, eh?

since I bought my kask helmet I'm about 1m 23s faster in to work of a morning. it's just about the marginal gains.

Wiggins posted his blood values from the 2009 Tour, and was widely accused of doping by armchair cunts, ahem, experts, back then. I don't see what he benefit he would get from doing it now, bar more armchair expert haemotoligists pointing out how he's clearly doping.

why are people so bloody suspicious? cant you just presume he is an immense cyclist who has trained really hard, and worry about doping if any evidence is actually brought to light?
