  • What was the overall cost? I am keen on similar setup but with a stealth frame ..

Ah you've missed out where the Stealth frames are concerned. They've re-branded them now as the Ribble R872 for some daft reason, following a week a fortnight ago when they dropped the "Stealth" price to £360+forks.

You go to Norths right? I may be up briefly on Tuesday but depends on weather and work. Have a look - you might be pleasantly surprised with the New Sportive frameset.

    @Oli - verrrrry good rolls eyes ;-)

  • Oh and overall cost:

Ultegra grey everything (minus shifters) roughly £275.
Wheels have done about 3,500 miles now (and may need replacing or rebuilding soon) but originally cost £200
Already had the shifters and saddle but woth about £200-250
    Stem, seatpost and handlebars £160
    Frame set £550
    Headset £30
    Cabling £30

So all in all approximately £1500

  • where did you get RS80's for £200?

  • Doubletap ;)

  • @Rowhan .. are you missing the top cap on the forks in the pic?

Build looks good .. I'd guess from my experience most of the extra weight is real vs claimed. Deda have a vivid imagination when it comes to weight !

  • top cap appears to be in place

  • topkapı appears to be in palace

    Er?

  • Germans trying to keep Turks in place, never happened before.

  • Ha!

And yes, nice second-hand crabon cap now in place thanks to Butters.

Quite lucky he found it too as the ride back to Waterloo last night, turned in to more of a baptism than a christening... didn't want water inside forks or frame within 3 miles of riding it
