  • So, i've been thinking about going front disc only for a while, but don't know a huge amount about discs. it seems like the avid bb7 road mechanical is fairly common. it seems like mechanical would be what i'm after as it's both cheaper and easier to maintain. don't feel the extra modulation and stopping power are completely justified for polo. also, at some stage in the future i could want dual brakes, either both disc or disc and v-brake. mechanical would seem a lot easier to accomplish this.

as for disc hubs in particular, i'm somewhat clueless. my front is 100mm spacing, 48 hole. is there much on the market for these? i can imagine that with some searching, it would be fine. i'm more concerned with rears. at the moment i have a 120mm spaced, 700c rear. so trying to find a 48h, 120mm disc hub seems to be quite tricky. was looking around earlier and nothing came up. any one have ideas?

Front the front there's the Halo Spin Doctor. I'm getting the rear when I have the money, rear is 135mm spaced though so no good for you

I doesn't it exist for the front, not in 48h.
I've been looking for something similar, it doesn't exist, just getting a custon drilling you can have 48h front hub with disc.
Aswell for the rear, there are no 120mm spaced hubs for disc brake, if your dropouts were 135mm you could get the Halo doctor spin
