Ratbike: A bike that is styled to look 'ratty' or very worn. Think flat-black colour in a dystopian Mad Max style.
Beaters: A beater is a bike that can take a beating. Usually cheaper than your pride and joy and one you can rack up the miles on and ride though snow and salt on the roads etc.
Frankenbike: A bike put together with random parts; most likely bits you've found in the parts bin and bolted together. Not known for it's artistic merit.
