^^what kind of brakes?
?Callipers. Shimano ultegra (which iphone spell monkey thinks should be Lutheran ?!) one of the pads Is right up against the rim, adjusting various bits with Allan keys / spanner isn't moving anything that changes it.
Net is down & fred my live-in mechanic is currently on trainback from dunwich (so he can ride back) otherwise i wouldnt be advertising my mechanical shitness like this. And I want to be able to fix it myself, dammit.

Should I leave the jacket at home? Weather report says double figures overnight. Arm warmers and base layer under the jersey should be more than enough yes?

lowest temp 12 but will feel like 11
htfu, you're letting down the midlands

Try loosening the bolt behind the fork, hold the caliper centered, then tighten it up.

I'm on the same scheduled as Ramay, 8.30 start, leisurely ride, all the pubs. Aiming to get to the park 7.30ish so might catch up with you there.
Think I'll set off about 10.30 so will see you as o roll out of the pub.

nice, I forget... Is there a time by which we have to have 'signed up' in order to confirm coach tickets back?
Note Chris I'm still a foolish chancer... But am riding old bike with hipster shoes on.

I wouldn't worry about your bike or your shoes, I'd worry about that wind. I had to pop up to Waltham Abbey to pick up a massive clock this afternoon.
20mph average out, 10 back (although that was with a massive clock sticking out of my rucksack). That tailwind is pretty serious - proper slow you down gusts too.
-
• #1366
yeah proper windy out there!
-
• #1367
good job I have a triangular frame bag for extra sail effect then!

Aah of course, many many thanks. I knew there was something obvious I was missing...
Fred & I are leaving brockley shortly, see you all in the fields

Good luck to all tonight..... Ride safe!

You need nothing more than your jersey pockets can hold.
Yep.
Enjoy the evening folks.
Tailwind on the way out! Best o' luck on the way home.

• #1371
Heading over to pick up my (contingency plan) coach tickets now. Hopefully see some of you out there!
-
• #1372
Where are people relative to the pub?
-
• #1373
I'm ready, with all my too much stuff, and I'm setting out.
If you see a guy with a pink cap and yellow sunglasses and think "look at that cunt" then say hi/call me a cunt (I will take this as a greeting)

• #1374

Good luck to you all..
