  • If you knock the rim back into a decent straight line then the tension should end up pretty even. The reason it's not even is because you are pulling against the buckle so have to tighten 1 side more than the other to straighten it out, also fenders ain't really structural and rims are.

    It's the characteristic of alu, you can reshape steel but not alu ;)

    ^^ That would be because "fenders" on cars are made of plastic. Something to do with crumple zones and crash protection

    They are alu, smart runs 'plastic' fenders but more composite material. You are confused between fenders and bumpers?
