Actually a decent runner I knew, boasted to his army mates that he could run a marathon on zero notice. As he was in such good shape. This was around 4am while on a massive bender, while posted near berlin.......
....the day before the Berlin marathon.
Feck knows how they got him a spot. But he lost the taste distance running after that one.
