  • I didn't realise skidding was a part of TT races until I saw this. Guess I've got a lot to learn about bikes still. I should start by getting one of those all white ones, they look beautiful, and Create must be a reliable, high-quality and well-established brand with a video as informative as that.

  • They have new track ends... which look like forged ones, which I suppose is an improvement, but they are still happy about bird shit style welds.

I saw creates bikes the other day in Halfords, they are now like the higher end of budget fixie skidders, the SE lager being cheaper... But even in the lager, I vaguely remember the welds being tidyer than the create...

For the price they're at in Halfords now, I bet you can get a steel fuji, am I right?

    L

  • For my sins, I once had a Create, back in the mists of time when I knew little more than orange bike = get all the babes.

For me it wasn't the ends or the welds that were the problem, but the components. The wheels were appallingly broke, and shed spokes like a big hairy dog spreads its follicles. The NDS crank arm first worked its way loose, and then later snapped under normal pedalling, the right pedal split leaving just an axle.

I'm surprised the bottom bracket didn't wilt when chappy up there^^^ started skidding.

  • Is the all-white Create a dark, ironic, preemptive joke?

    You must be able to.

I didnt know riding on the pavement like a douche was part of it either

  • Fucking rubbish fucking creates

  • Speaking of Create, I hadn't noticed that Urban Outfitters had started selling them, i guess they know their market

Spearheading the fixed wheel phenomena, London-based CREATE engineer smart, fashion-forward bikes at prices that won’t yank your chain. Available in a variety of stand-out colours, all CREATE Bikes feature a flip-flop rear hub so you can switch back to freewheel if Fixie riding isn't your thing.

Some assembly is required (attaching of pedals, front wheel, handlebars and seat).

  • my new commute. 1.5 miles.

  • Go via somewhere 5 miles away?

  • or figure out a scenario wherein you need to transport a chicken, a fox and a bag of grain to work and back each day without the chicken eating the grain and the fox eating the chicken. using only a backpack capable of carrying one item at a time.

  • Chicken, then fox + return with chicken, grain, then chicken? Should get the commute up to 10 and a bit miles.

  • they might think it a bit weird when I bring a chicken into the office?

also my foxes are a bit too busy to play along...

  • Does anyone else notice the oddity of an individual complaining their commute is too short?

Or is there a car forum somewhere with people bitching they don't sit in enough traffic?

I like having a longish cycle before school, calms me down, wakes me up, gets me in the mood for LEARNING.

  • I enjoy cycling. I wouldn't complain if I had to drive to work.

    I'd like a 10 mile commute

  • I'm the same, my current commute is 10 miles too and my last job I chose partially for the longer commute (15 miles).

    It's still funny.

  • My commute just went from 2.3 to 7miles.
    This makes me happy

  • My commute by bike is 8mins

Hence why I walk to work

  • My walk to work is 8 minutes.
Where I then drive all day.

  • 9 mile commute for me, takes 10 mins by train. Win.

  • my commute is 60 miles each way

i should really htfu and cycle in

  • I have 2 places of work at the moment, 1 is 13 miles down the A41 the other is 25 miles across the Chiltern Hills.

  • I get a time credit for travel on some of the jobs I do. Does that mean I ride fixed "semi-pro"?

  • My friend knowing I'm into origami posted this on my facebook wall:

Impressive right? I said I see your yoda and I raise you:
