My apologies for not paying attention to this recently. I've been both busy and under the weather healthwise.
The reason I wanted a meeting was (and is) because although I suggested this idea I do not want to be entirely responsible for its organisation. I seem to have a lot of things to do and a declining amount of energy to do them with.
I know I'm old fashioned, but I think that if some one undertakes to do something when talking face-to-face they are more likely to do what they have promised than if the only contact has been electronic.
Naturally, if the BAR exists only electronically and no one has to do anything other than post on here, then that's fair enough. If we want an actual trophy (or perhaps trophies), and a presentation, which is what I had envisaged, then I think we need some kind of meeting.
In the meantime, could we have a leaderboard on here with the contenders submitting the times they have done so far this season?

^Gutchings won it with a course record and PB of 18:49.
He likes those 10s!

If all riders in sponsored clubs were excluded (as they once would have been) Nic Hutchings would win every championship in the book, and even against outright professionals he makes an excellent showing.
I did wonder about that. It must be annoying at the sharp end of some of these races being beaten by pros that've come back to ride a local TT or even semi-pros that get tunnel time, kit sponsorship, etc.
I need a beer sponsor.

Separate thread for the leaderboard, perhaps?

why not make a google spread sheet like the weight loss thread? The you could have a leader board which also displays each riders PB at the different distances and the BAR

That would also work. Thanks for volunteering :)

Have you considered asking your rivals for beer sponsorship? It could be in their interest.

Sadly i haven't ridden a TT in nearly 2 years but hopefully I'll be returning next season.
Anyway here is a spread sheet, i've done it for 10, 25 and 50 miles rather than the BAR standard of 50, 100 and 12h but it's easily changed. Anyone should be able to access and edit with this link

If I was good enough to actually have rivals that might work. I don't think it would make a lick of difference to Warnock or Wilco if I was fitter than ever or staggerling drunk.. they'd kick my arse.
Having said that, I've recently posted my National 24hr entry off. Here we go again!

I've put PNut's 2011 results in the example row to give fixengers a target :-)
Corrected formulae to reflect CTT method of calculating 'average' speed

CTT method Is the average of the 3 Averages is it not? As opposed to average speed over total distance of all 3 events.

Had another improvement at Hog Hill last night, 31:06, was aiming for a long 30 and would have had it but the last time going up the hill my right calf cramped up spectacularly and I had to cruise the last bit. Very frustrating.

24:33 tonight, proper TT bike but not trying as I've been ill, thought an easy tempo ride would be better than nothing.

It's surprising how much you can knock off the effort to go only 1mph slower
Yes, I had noticed this. He was 27 seconds clear of the second placed rider (Steve Golla), which is a pretty good margin for a 10; at 25 miles no one else would have been on the same minute, or to put it another way, however the order of start had been arranged there was no minute man he would not have caught.
