I have used firefox for ages. No problems. All updates come along automatically. Fine.

Over the last few weeks Firefox has started having massive trouble with video - youtube, vimeo, sports streaming, tv streaming - and i've started using IE for video. Why?!!?!?! WTF is going on?!?!?! What downloads / plugins have somehow not updated themselves??!?!?

Try right-clicking on any video, go to 'settings' and uncheck the enable hardware acceleration button.
