Well, helmet mounted it will pick up most everything your eyes do, so if you hear someone revving or getting a bit fresh you will probably glance around anyway. I've converted a saddle bottle mount into a camera mount for my gopro and it is pretty handy. i don't use it for commuting as much as for being able to email mates photos to taunt them about the hideous sex faces they were making going up climbs, but this of course requires me to be in front of them which isn't always a guaranteed happenstance.
