  • Get as many sessions in as you can beforehand and you should be good to go. However, even a novice Keirin will have the derny going up to at least 25-28mph so make sure you are at least capable of controlling your bike and still able to look behind at those kind of speeds.

    There's no shame in being dropped by faster riders but I've seen riders get dropped by the derny and that's not too good for the other riders if you happen to be in front of them before the bike pulls off

    Good point. Will it sell out, or can I afford to do another couple of sessions before I commit?
