I've followed this thread keenly. I've always worn a wrist watch and have always loved my watches but never have I looked into what others like or what is revered or egarded as mechanically superior or prestigious or what have you. My watch for the last 8 years has been a Casio OC-500. To me it is a nice midway between heft and subtlety. It;s affordable and very reliable. I would like to invest in a new watch with similar characteristics. Quartz. Chunk. Reliable. And if possible from a lesser known but reputable maker. Your thoughts are appreciated.
