this forum is going to the dogs. apart from it being a faekenaego (tm) it's also brakeless and without foot retention.
The Lemond drop-in bars mounted the wrong way round just add another element of confused mind-buggery to the whole cretinous, ugly and downright befuddled enterprise.

but gone are the days when the first observation to be made of any steed is its abundance of stoppage mechanisms, or lack thereof... ah the halcyon days when the jeans were skinnier, the spoks shinier and the spectacle rims thicker. This faded imitation of that which was once so vital, so fluoro...'Tis but a fleeting shadow of the past.

not sure if you can see from this pic but it also has vertical dropouts, there is no chain tension at all. I'll see about a better pic but I don't see him that often, and I wouldn't want people to think I liked it. I told him to give the poor thing brakes and gears but he wont have any of it.

they had a load of pics of bikes they apparently built, I did a little hunting and found the bikes were in Italy,Australia,USA. 2 17yr olds I think, they wanted a deposit first and said they could build fixies from 200-800euro
theres so many chancers over there its not even funny, an old tubular front wheel for 75euro listed as a tubeless fixie track wheel but has a quick release skewer

I know a couple of lads doing it, one of them has their bikes popping up on here quite often. Throwing together bog standard components in the most horrific colour arrangements and half-arsed assembled and then charging 4-500 euro.
A couple of the bikes had their bb's spill bearings a day or two after they were sold, dodgy headsets and forks etc. Dublin's full of eejits, mainly because there's no decent stores selling bikes like Fuji Tracks and Plugs etc so people are forced to go used with heaps of shite or upscale.

Yes, and?
It's a tubeless wheel, which can be used on the track (so long as the commissar/coach is happy with the QR being taped down)

• #24648
tubular ≠ tubeless
-
• #24649
Yes? And? Doesn't stop it being used on a fixie
-
• #24650
a wheel that can be used on the track as long as they let you ≠ a track wheel
