Someone left a pack of silica gel in.... sucked in one engine, bits spat out the front into the other!

But they have two spares.

Am slightly worried that could happen, could have been so so much worse.

Bit. confused as to what they consider "fake" parts. The article just refers to electronic components like memory chips. It sounds like they just received a bunch of components that werent spec but still work.

If its really that much of a concern then perhaps the DOD should fab every component at home, this is just what happens when you source parts from the lowest bidder which is the standard practice of the military, not just in America.

It actually sounds more like there's something dodgy going on stateside, some-one ordering parts off the back of a truck and pocketing the change.
