Lots of people will disagree with me, but for tools there is a cheap halfords bike tool kit. Some parts are shit and you'll have to replace, but most of them will be fine. The one which you should not use is the lockring tool - just throw it away - I bought a pedros trixie as its tough and has lots of other useful features. Everything else has held up. I'd also recommend a reall big spanner as they are infinitely useful.
