Gutted for you PR. Will keep my eyes peeled as I'm in the area.
Seems like the sunshine is a great time for the Hackney theives to sharpen their bolt croppers and get nicking. D-Lock to the face If I catch one. -

Guys and Gals.
Found a trick bike today in North London. Just propped up against a wall in my business park. No lock, no owner. Bars are off centre and the fixed cog has been stripped from the rear wheel so I presume its been either dumped by a theif who smashed himself up trying to ride brakeless or just dumped (surely not?)......
PM me if you have had one stolen recently and I'll give you more details.Sweats

Hi all,
My ex GF just called me, she had her bike stolen between last night and today from Queenstown Road train station.
I built that bike last year with a frame bought here on classifieds, here's the description I just texted to some friends for them to keep their eyes opened:
"Single speed conversion, 52cm approx no name frame, ferrari red, steel, lugged, campag dropouts, partially chromed seat stays and chain stays, very good (prob italian) frame from the late 80s. Chrome forks from a bianchi pista on it. Ahead headset, raisers, shimano rx100 (or similar) dual pivot brakes. Truvativ "rouleur" cranks with hollow bb. Flip flop rear hub, front & rear hubs and rims are black, with specialised tyres."

sorry to hear that, hope she gets it back.

...actually this is fucking ridiculous.

Why? He obviously has over 30 vintage bikes and just likes upgrading the saddles.

Start buying 'em... then complaining to ebay you didn't receive the proper one. Get a refund via Paypal and ebay, or if you have to return one, send him back an old ripped to shit saddle you don't care about.
Lots of ways to scam ebay sellers, the buyer nearly always wins and Paypal doesn't care, they'll just refund you for anything.
(I don't advocate this for legit sellers of course, but this guy gets what's coming to him. He's a shit seller anyway, read his feedback).

Stolen today both my foffa track chrome wheels on broadway market between 12 -1pm today.
Both wheels were chained up to the bike, but they cut through the chain like it was paper. Gutted. If anyone has spotted someone walking around with chrome deep rimmed wheels please get in touch 07527688927 -

Dear All,
Please help - I was assaulted on Burdett Road, Mile End last week and the gang made away with my Specialized Allez.
I've done a fair bit of work on it and I'm absolutely gutted that someones got there dirty mitts on it!
It's a black Specialized Allez Triple with all Tiagra Groupset (except brakes which are black shimano 105) it has distinct white fizik handle bars and white fizik seat).
Here's a picture:
I'm thinking of going down to Brick Lane Market to see if I can spot it.
If anyone has seen it or has any information I would be extremely grateful, I also offering a cash reward of £200.
I'm completely gutted... Spent months on the bike :-(
Thank you for your support,
Chris

So my bike was stolen from out front of my hostel on seven sisters rd. last night across from finsbury park. It is a road bike with a black frame and red fork(painted). Has the word revolt in vinyl lettering on the side. Sram Apex crankset, reddish bar tape. Wellgo pedals, mach 1 wheels. 10 speed cassette stuck on one gear, old SIS derailleur. Was a work in progress and had much of my blood sweat and tears in it. It was my friend as well as my only means of transport. If anyone sees it about let me know please either on here or at 56a. Thanks all.

^^^ Get onto the police and the cycle task force sharpish.
Assault is taken much more seriously than a bike simply taken from the street.
Also, see the "what to do if your bike is stolen" thread or whatever it's called.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if the scumbags who did this were "known to the police" and could be identified from a simple description.

pains me to here of everyone having their bike stolen, had my pinched last year so know how it feels! on a seperate note i think it would be useful if people would also post up what lock they had on, where abouts it was locked (ie for those who dont know the area stating whether it was on a main street etc)
how you locked it etc etc, i think the more information people can add might help others prevent this!
Il start, mine was stolen in angel, outside the virgin active, infront of a CCTV camera main road during the road. Cable lock (was stupid i know)
however virgin active said that there CCTV is rubbish and of very very poor quality, hence avoid this spot!

My friends Bob Jackson was stolen a few weeks back and he spotted someone on it, went over to the new owner and turns out he had bought it from Brick Lane Bikes and seemed a decent chap so he believed him.
The pair of them set up a comedy routine where the new owner went in and asked if they remembered selling him the bike (he had no proper receipt) and the Polish lad was "yes, of course, how is it working out for you" whereupon my pal, the previous owner piped up with the info about it being his and stolen...Long story short BLB had some sort of half as red receipt claiming they bought it from a guy in Kent, looked very fishy, also said Polish lad got very aggressive with my friend, as someone with something to hide would.
Bit concerning that a supposedly reputable bike shop could be involved in stolen bikes? And I was just about to buy a new frame from them...
here is a pic of my stolen cougar bike (before it was built obviously) which i posted about on here a couple of days ago..........if anyone happens to see it around i would love to hear about it.......
thanks
oh and multigrooves, yes it was locked up with an abus granit lock which has lasted 4 years of everyday use...
