I'm looking for someone who knows a lot more about investments and pensions than I do because it's their job. Someone who would be able to advise me on the best route to take with regard to said investments and pensions.

Can you be a bit more specific about what advice you require?

I am really not sure that ayone really needs an IFA. What they need to do is read read read and take sensible steps (eg chuck small lump sums into safe(ish) tracker funds with low costs every so often when the index being tracked takes a bit of a dip and hope that the long term sorts you out.(
