Would people on this forum be interested in a thread which discusses the latest planning applications/consultations in progress around London?
It's important cyclists have a say as early as possible in the development process so we can try to ensure enough bike stands, road space, surfaces, signage, speed limits etc. etc. are factored in to plans and not left as an afterthought.
So for instance, developers St.George have bought One Blackfriars.
They've started the pre-planning application process for a new planning application. In that plan, a route under Blackfriars Road, reconnecting Upper Ground with Hopton Street is included.
The reapplication for this site is a golden opportunity to work towards this happening creating a contiguous route parallel to the riverside path.
Southwark Cyclists will push for this - as always, I'm interested to know what others think.

I wont be offended if this idea goes down like a sack of potatoes.
