  • Why would he leave a team that has been built around him? Yes he wants to win and if McLaren can't build a competitive car for him to do so then he should hedge his bets elsewhere. When Schumacher joined Ferrari, the cars were absolute dogs. The first W/C he won with them was done in an utter pig of a car. Then the development stage occurred and the rest we all know about. He won his W/C's when his car wasn't the best, but most importantly he won when the Ferrari wasn't even close to being the best.

    If he is to stay with McLaren, Lewis is just going to have to suck it up until they've refined the each of the development stages. There's less testing than there has even been - I think Schumacher is up there with Armstrong and Aldrin for miles covered.

    I reckon he should just wait and see. Besides, it'll be nice to have a different W/C this season - maybe an Australian.
