Good post.
Today has been a lovely day, in part thanks to the forum. Some funny threads, a few PM's and then going out mountain biking at Swinley with another forum member.

This forum and a certain someone on it has given me the opportunity to do something that is truly once in a life time. I love this forum.

When Hippy says he's taking you up the Parthenon, there is no trip to Greece involved. Make your excuses while you still can.

Been here a while, always liked riding bikes but would never have called myself a cyclist, just kind of enjoyed the banter on the forum. And the coffee thread.
Couldn't help but notice the bias towards cycling in the other threads though and the influence has rubbed off, to the point where I've bought a road bike, a nice one that fits properly and some stretchy pants with braces that also fit properly. I spent a couple of months getting fitter by running and playing in the mud on the bouncer before I got it.
So I took it out for the first spin tonight, 25 miles in the wind, and I could not be happier. It was the best ride I've ever had and I only came home because it started getting dark and I wanted my tea. Looking forward to many many more miles on it. Thanks forum, it's all your fault.

I gather the book is selling well among the reinsurance community.

My mate is moving to London in a couple of months and I was saying to him today without thinking: " You'll be able to meet some of the LFGSS guys and go on a group ride or something... brilliant" I feel part of the LFGSS and I'm pretty much a lurker... great forum, great people.

This
I have a few of varying sizes I have no use for in the spares box.
How quick are you after them could stick them in the post tomorrow gratis, or they are in SE16.
There are moments when I love this place.
Plus the birthday party yesterday
SUNSET RIDES
Seen a few actions out there last few nights to provoke this post and as it approaches a year since Rob J was killed read on.
If you're cruising home after an evening ride in setting sun-thinkin life couldn't be better I know that feeling
Going west into setting sun have regular looks behind you, and always when moving position and at junctions.
If you're looking at a big shadow in front riding away from sun, don't presume people coming out of side roads have seen you, just be prepared for them pulling out
Everyone should have the right to talk bollocks on the forum between riding bikes.
Go well.
