Just on my way back from a training ride and as I came up to a roundabout I spotted a bit of a gap in the traffic so stood up and sprinted. Much to my surprise and dismay I shipped my chain and had to bail out to on of the traffic islands where I discovered that I'd managed to strip about four teeth off my rear sprocket.
I've only shipped a chain a few times and not really done any damage so was just wondering if this sort of thing is normal or expectable?
