We do not know the specific details of her condition, so even if we were consultant level medical professionals we would struggle to provide any advice over what you have already had.
Good news is that pharmaceutical hormones are just as good as natural ones, so if this is what she is going to be taking she should expect everything to be normal. Hormones are not "drugs" so as long as everything is in the right doses she should not get any side effects.
I am speaking very generally though, I only have a broscience understanding of endocrinology.
