I was reminded on another thread, of my time in Cameroon, where little ramshackle alcohol shops would open at about 6:30am (I believe) and Cameroonian men would stop in for a quick one, or a slow one, on the way to work. They would waylay their friends passing by, and encourage them to also partake. All by 7:30-8:30am. I was astonished, but saw that it was a very friendly and jovial affair.
Whenever I'm in France, I always think it would be a bit indecent of me to have beer with brekkie, but since it is on offer, I have tried it a couple of times. If truth be told, I prefer my normal cappucino.
