One of the reviewers of the Vittoria Radiales said he had to keep checking whether his tyre had gone soft due to the abnormally plush ride. I assumed this was just the usual bike reviewer BS. Then I got to the turn roundabout tonight and got that squishy feeling as I tipped the bike over that usually means half your tyre pressure has gone. Sat up, went straight on at the roundabout, cruised back to the HQ. Checked tyre pressure, it was fine. FML.
On the plus side, I got to the turn at 26mph average off absolutely zero warm up (late home from work + small field + Wally starting 2 minutes early), so there's obviously nowt wrong with the tyres from a speed point of view, was on track for a long 23, which isn't stunning but good for me off a cold start.
