It's much more adjustable than the S500 (which isn't adjustable at all) and for the 30 second test ride I just did, seems to work well.
It has a little pin which can go in one of 3 positions to determine what angle it sits on the derailleur hanger and the armature with the sprockets on it is adjustable both in terms of angle and displacement (to allow you to get the chainline right) by an allen bolt.
Everything on it feels quite loose - when you install it, it flops around on the bolt which attaches to the derailleur hanger and the sprockets flop about too, but once the chain's on it, it seems to be quite rigid.
