Let me tell you the story of a poor Redshite Kenny
Who was sent to far away to Boston
To fight for his Job and his money
And also the Redshite’s back home.He was sent up to face poor Paul Henry
To account for millions in transfer funds
Where the Redsox fan’s swarm in their thousands
That know shit all of footballThe discussion started that morning
Under the Green monsters stand
I remember that poor King Kenny
Who was fired by the guys from soccer landAs he lay on Fenway Field fired fired fired
With that stupid smirk on his kite, on his kite
As he lay on Fenway Field fired fired fired
These were the words that they said.Your are a Glaswegian
We bought you from Hicks and Gillet for a steal
You lost the cup you lost the plot
You lost their quite a lot!We support the team that came in 8th
A team that we don’t know
A team that you call Red Shite Stool
And to the Champions League we will go…. -

Good question.
Money
lure of the premier league
a new challenge (not much more he can do in Germany)
most of his stars are probably going to leave in the next season or two
Owners who match his idea of building up young players, rather than buying in established stars.I'm not sure he would leave, but if he did, I would love to see him at LFC, above any other manager right now.
John, it is Klopp not bekloppt (to believe what you bope).

Ha!, very good...
You are a Gladbach fan right? What do you think of Reus going to Dortmund.

Dave Whelan isn't a total tit after all:
*"The club have great supporters, but the place is a morgue, a desolate place, without heart, all I can say is what a shame for their supporters," he said. *
*"The club needs a management structure, it needs a boardroom filled with the people running the club. When we went there, there was Alan Hansen welcoming people, it was a bit embarrassing to be honest, although he was doing his best." * -

Nope, Sunderland today.
In the morning I get the train to Whitehaven and spend three days pub crawling on two wheels back to Sunderland.
Good luck Chelski and Blackpool. Not supporting you but I would rather you than your odious opponents. Also want to see Spuds lose their CL spot, try to moan only to realise that no one really cares about them.
Why are Bayern odious?
West Ham over Blackpool and that melt Holloway any day.... -

Bayern is hated by other Germans for being a Jewish club.
-
• #60165
Woh there, you are making the Germans sound like a bunch of Nazis.
Yes, Bayern have a Jewish background, and are proud of it.
Yes, some football fans in Germany are neo-nazi's (but I doubt any more so than here).
But I really don't think you can say that, I think the vast majority of people who hate Bayern do so because they are a rich succesful club, not because of that.

I wasn't aware that Bayern had a Jewish connection, but they're still a loathsome club. They manipulate the Bundesliga and German football in general by having so many ex-Bayern players in powerful positions.
I wanted Chelsea to win anyway, but Spurs finishing 4th would make Chelsea's unlikely victory all the sweeter,

John H, I think you're being a bit disingenuous when you say he's won everything in Germany. He's won the League twice with Dortmund, and the DFB cup, he's had his teams play in europe for a couple of seasons and they've not done much whilst there...
I'd think he'd believe he's got a lot to achieve at Dortmund, keeping hold of the promising young players being first priority. Making a proper bid for the champions league, and winning the german league again. Looking to solidify Dortmund as the pre-eminent german team at this point... He's only 44, and he's got plenty of time to move to another league/team.
Just because your club has a vacancy doesn't mean that the manager you desire is going to take over... And I'd assume Dortmund would do everything in their power to hold onto him..

Corndog - Klopp is only getting started, providing he gets a guarantee that his stars don't get sold he'll stay at BVB if not he'll take an attractive alternative elsewhere.
Basically I'm agreeing with you.

Ah, so a bit of good old-fashioned anti-semitism with a conspiracy theory thrown in. Hmmm. I've decided I like them now.

Jaw, that's good to know, I'm just a bit bemused that John H seems to think that the Liverpool job is such a bright shiny prospect, that Klopp would be out the Dortmund door, when he's got a good/great thing going, to take over the poisoned chalice that Liverpool currently is, with fewer playing resources, and a big rebuilding job in the offing, with probably less money to play with...

Vorwärtsbayern! It's not actually a conspiracy theory. It was a very in-depth article I read in the Suddeutsche Zeitung at the time of Christoph Daum's near appointment to coach of the German National Side.

sud means south surely ?
Proof that I talk absolute bollox, if it were needed.
Mourinhos undoubted quality means we can overlook him being an egotistical ex-Chelsea wanker though :)
