That's true, but it can often work better to put your maximum on at the last moment because there are usually people who will peck away at your max bid. They often end up spending more than they perhaps should, but never the less, they still win. At least putting your max bid on at the last moment means that someone can't chip away in this manner and, I believe, you stand a better chance :)

and Sniping (although usually pretty good if you want to win) takes the fun out of it. If I wasn't meant to have that limited edition artwork by Andy Dog of The the fame then I wasn't meant to have it. Same goes for the child size lamborghini diablo pedal car...
