So if you're sliding off the front, do you not want to move you saddle forwards, closer to the bars, rather than backwards, away from the bars? If you're struggling to keep your toes on the pedals as well, could you try lowering your saddle? I'm a bit baffled to be honest... Think we need a photo of you riding the bike (or for someone to give you advice after seeing you ride in the real world...)
Overall, I still think that if ALL of crankgirl moved back on the bike she would be more comfortable. She just needs to move further back in the handlebar department than the saddle. Crankgirl, there's something called a seat sandwich that allows a double-railed saddle to be used with any modern post.
