My 10mi PB is a low 24 on my road bike. People up there ^ are talking about 19s and 20s.
That's what I mean by slow. If I got a car and went to some faster courses I could bring that down a bit but that almost seems like cheating.
I'm sure you are capable of going much faster than a short 24.
I don't suppose those people above rode out to do their 19 minute 10's, so if you go out by car it wouldn't be cheating, more levelling the playing field.
In my own case, a very long time ago, my own p.b. went from 1.3.16 to 59.04, but that was going from the Amersham Road to the E72 (The A12 between Chelsford and Colchester, a classic drag strip), and I'm not sure which was really the better ride.
Following the recent discussion here about TT kit, it should be remembered that the course and the weather (drag strips need good conditions to yield good times) make more difference than equipment.
