I have this same exactly problem.

so i bought a long inline seatpost, but it can't drop down past the bottle braze ons

I wanted to be able to use the one post for myself and for much shorter people when they borrow the bike (its a 16" frame, i use most of the length of a long seatpost)

can i get the seat tube reamed to stop the braze ons fouling the path of the seatpost?
