Bring wot Hyper???

Thanks Hyper,
I was wearing a helmet but a piss pot one at that, if i'd of replaced ym met parachute which smashed when I did a similar stunt whilst mountain biking i'm sure I wouldn't be as cut up.
I will from no on be wearing an ACU approved full face helmet for speedway, it's only 4 laps and i'm usually the only one not gasping like a fish out of water after.
i know I did have a lid on, but it's a lid that has sustained many big impacts and will now be junked, the Docs couldn't beleive my cheek bone was intact given the damage to the face, but i'm so concussed I have no idea what's going on at the moment. Can't imagine what would of been the case if i'd of had no lid.
All of the above said, i'm still looking at my full face lid which cost £90 and my met parachute which is £130+ to replace and wondering what's the realistic alternative for XC/trail centres....?
BTW as I type this, i'm completely nill by mouth for food, I'm getting water via a toddlers sippy cup and I cant move my jaw as the pain is sickening. What great fun, i'm going to take up gang violence in London, i'm sure it's safer.

If anyone is considering going to the worlds, there's a substantial group of players cycling from London to Geneva the week before. Some on polo bikes, some on tourers. I'm thinking of joining them and going to the first meeting on Tues night. If you're interested, let me know!

The following poll is on the UKHBPA forum, which I think is now public, if you're interested. Either way, read it, consider your opinions and tell me what you think before May 19th and I'll cast Birmingham's vote.
An important thing to remember pre-qualifying some teams means fewer teams in a qualifying tournament, which means a fairer set up (Round Robin) is more easily achieved. I suggested the big four teams get immediate qualification this year, so that the qualifier would definitely be RR....
Who should automatically qualify for the Euros 2013
National Series winners (if from the UK), and UK Champs winners.
National Series winners (if from the UK) only
UK Champs winners only
UK Champs finalists only
No one

Does anyone have a video camera that they would be happy for me to use during next wednesday's polo session? I want to film individual playing styles, and do some geeky biomechanical analysis. Any loan of equipment would be really useful, and it would just be for the time you are playing.
Cheers in advance -

I have a Canon Rebel digital camera that takes video and a Flip Video that takes HD but either would be shaky without a tripod and I can't find mine. You are welcome to use either, let me know if I should bring them.

Slow mo stuff is awesome! All we need to do is film in constant slow-mo so we can see the flashy bits.

Unfortunately the camera only shoots bursts of 5 seconds that equals about 1min on playback. There might be a setting to go longer. The camera is a Nikon J1.

That set up for a mallet looks a right kerfuffle..

Damn right. The mallet-in-shaft method has usurped all contenders. Just make sure you get the fit right, and/or put a securing bolt in sideways through the shaft. I launched a head inches past Gunja's head through shoddy handiwork/massive shooting power.
