[SIZE=2]Me: Hello. I'd just like to inform you that the bike for sale has clearly had a serious head on crash. The forks should not be that shape! The bike is unsafe and should not be ridden.

Hi
Thanks for pointing the bent forks out. Fortunately for me, I'd only put the bike on 12 hours beforehand. I've taken it straight off Ebay.
Annoyingly, that will have come since I've had it. When I got it, it was as if it had hardly ever been ridden and in perfect nick! I did grab the bike midway through re-cabling it to run a quick errand. I didn't realise the brakes weren't finished until I tried to brake and went head-on into a barrier gate at the bottom of the alley where I work. I checked the wheel was still running true, for scratches on the paintwork and the bike still rode with no issues. Obviously I missed the(what now seems glaringly obvious!) forks.
I've taken the bike off immediately from Ebay to have a good look and sort it out before looking to put it back on.
I have been running my workshop here for nearly three years now and have never any comeback from any of the (+/-) hundred bikes I have sold. Even on Ebay, most of my customers are local and I offer a free check-up and money back guarantee if there are any major issues with anything I've sold. Selling 2nd hand bikes is a business laden with potential pitfalls that up until now have managed to avoid. I think have managed to build up a decent reputation in the process.
Thank you for taking the time to point out the issue. It is much appreciated.
